Gammon India has diversified into Power Utility Equipments & EPC
business and has also acquired manufacturing units for Power Utilities.
The company is now looking for self motivated achiever, dedicated, innovative
& dynamic engineers and other professionals for fulfilling its growth
plans.
Current openings in power sector department are as follows:
| I. Engineering - Mechanical |
|
Post qualification (graduate engineering) work experience in
one or more of the following areas:
- Design/specification/manufacturing, selection & purchase
of rotating machinery /mechanical handling equipment such as Turbines/
Generators/motors/compressor/Pumps and various packages &
system.(for positioning in the manufacturing work in Italy, For
EPC and Projects Group)
- Design /manufacturing of material handling equipments, HVAC
& other system (EPC & Projects)
- Knowledge of API codes, preparation of specification, data
sheets, requisitioning, review of quotations, order specification
and vendor drawing review
- Should have sound knowledge of Plot Plan development, Equipment
& piping layout & design. Knowledge of piping design codes,
standards, statutory rules and experience in preparation of piping
material specifications, material take-off, data sheets and requisitioning
in essential. Having experience of PDMS would be preferable.
- Experience in fire fighting system, U/G piping, stress analysis
and projects with 3-D modeling & design
- Knowledge of piping layout & design concepts. Should have
worked on pipe stress analysis & have thorough knowledge of
relevant codes. Should have worked on complex systems-including
multi-phase flow innovating air coolers, heaters, reactors and
large pumps. Should have good knowledge of supporting nozzle flexibilities,
expansion bellows etc. Knowledge of computer packages used in
layout including walk through is expected. (Above Mainly For EPC
& projects but could be deputed to manufacturing plants also)
- Experience in the design and fabrication of equipment like
boilers-high pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, columns
etc Should have experience in preparation of enquiry specification,review
of quotes & preparation of Technical Requirement,order specifications
and review of vendor drawings. (For Boiler manufacturing facilities
in South India/Italy)

| II. Engineering - Civil &
Structural (For EPC & Projects) |
|
Post qualification (graduate engineering) work experience in
one or more of the following areas:
- Experience in planning, survey & preparation of contour,
analysis, design, details engineering, construction, specification
and costing of structures (both RCC & structural steel), plant/non
plant buildings, pipe racks equipment foundation for boilers &
axillaries, TG & axillaries, compressors, heat exchangers,
chimneys, conveyors, cooling towers, coal and ash handling etc.
- Experience in design and detailing of plant infrastructure
facilities like plant facilities such as roads, storm water, sewage
drains.
Hands on experience of latest applicable software packages (like
CAD/PDMS etc) is expected.

| III. Engineering - Electrical |
|
Post Qualification (Graduate engineering) work experience in
one or more of the following areas:
- All activities of electrical engineering-designing, laying
down specifications, estimation of transformers, switchgear, switchyard
equipments & layout of electrification of industrial/power
plant buildings
- Routing of Cable trays
- Designing & estimation of machineries & plants in the
areas of Air-conditioning & ventilation
Experience in preparation of enquiry specification, review of
quotes & preparation of Technical Requirement, preparation
of order specifications and review of vendors drawings for above.
Hands on experience of latest applicable software package are
expected. (Preferably CAD, PDMS etc.)

| IV. Engineering C&I |
|
Post qualification (Graduate engineering) work experience in
one or more of the following areas:
- Computer network & communication systems
- Instrumentation & PLC systems
- Power Electronics systems
- Power Plant control, Monitoring & associated systems
- Optimization packages & performance monitoring calculations
- SCADA systems/HVDC & Reactive Power Management systems
Experience of procurement activity for Instrumentation items covering
preparation of enquiry specification, review of quotes and preparation
of TR, preparation of order specifications, review of vendor drawings
etc, of the above is required.

| V. Project Management |
|
Post qualification (graduate engineering) work experience in
one or more of the following areas:
- Experience in coordinating engineering, procurement, construction,
erection and commissioning and over all project management activities
on projects (comprising boilers & Aux, Turbine, Generator
& BOP, Civil construction etc) adhering to time schedule,
budget & quality.
- Experience in planning, scheduling & monitoring of power
projects from concept to coimmissioning using network technique,
primavera, software P5 or equivalent.
- Experience in preparation of specification for tendering from
Electrical, Mechanical and Civil contractors/manufacturers/suppliers
for the above is desirable/essential (depending on total work
experience).

| VI . Project Erection &
commissioning |
|
Field engineers with Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/C&I/Air-conditioning
Bachelors degree/Diploma in engineering and relevant experience
in E&C of Boilers & Aux, Turbine, Generators & BOP;
Civil construction, quality control and quality assurance.

| VII. Finance |
|
Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance with 8-25 years experience in
all the gamut of finance & accounts. Hands on experience of
SAP is essential.
|
| VIII. Human Resource |
|
MBA-HR/post graduate degree/diploma in HR with 8-25 years relevant
work experience ,conversant with labor laws, construction workers,
designing and conducting training modules.Conversant with latest
theories of HCM-with experience of developing Performance Management
System, competency/potential appraisal techniques, career path model
etc. Hands on experience of latest applicable softwares packages
are preffered.
It may be noted that candidates selected for manufacturing and connected
function will be posted at manufacturing works of the Co which are
in Italy or any other new facilities in India. EPC & projects
personnel would be posted at sites in India/abroad or at EPC offices
of the company either in Noida, Mumbai or Milan Italy.
Emoluments (CTC) shall be comparable with best in the power sectors.
