The project constitutes of construction of main plant
buildings comprising of reactor, spent fuel storage, reactor auxulliary,
turbine control service, DG Building, SB Annexe, Ventilation Stack,
DO0 Upgrading Plant and D2O Distillation Tower (Height :58 m),
CWDT, SRPH, FWPH, Station Road and other miscellaneous works.
The project involved fabrication and erection of structural
steel to the tune of 6800 tonnes with a peak of 3316 tonnes in the
year 2004-2005. Different welding procedures viz. SMAW, GTAW, SAW
amd MAG were adopted for fabrication work.
