ABOUT US | history | mr. j. c. gammonMr. John C. Gammon a First Class graduate in Civil Engineering from University of London joined the Public Works Department Bombay in 1910 as an Assistant Engineer. As a Reinforced Concrete Expert, he contributed his genius to the structures of the Science College, the Prince of Wales Museum and the Customs House in Mumbai. After the first World War he returned to India in 1919 and Design and constructed foundation of the prestigious Gateway of India and many other structures, that won him recognition. India & Abroad. In 1922, he established J C Gammon Ltd. He continued to expand his horizons across the Commonwealth, Asia and West Africa. And though the activities spread far and Wide, Gammon India continued to be the root, the Source where Mr. J.C. Gammon first sowed seeds of his remarkable vision.
